Garbage Pail Kid
“At a Friendy’s restaurant in Wrentham, I went into the ladies’ room and was washing my hands. A woman came in with her little boy and went into a stall. There was, as there often is, a special covered receptacle for waste. I heard the youngster say, ‘Mom, what’s in that pail?’ She said, ‘Don’t touch that, it’s garbage.’ The boy responded, ‘Please can I look?’ Mom said, ‘No, it’s dirty and disgusting.’ Then, without missing a beat, the boy said, ‘Oh, then can I open it?’”
